OASIS Command Referenceload |
load - load an ASCII text file
load
The load command initiates an upload of ASCII text hex records into patch memory. It is used to upload drivers to replace an existing driver or add a driver that could not fit into ROM. Once the load command is issued, OASIS waits for ASCII text hex records. Usually the load command, the hex records, and the drvadd command are all put into a text file and sent to OASIS, which executes all the commands in the text file. In Hyperterm, for example, the user might issue the load command, and then click Transfer>Send Text File, then enter the path to a file containing the upload file. The uploaded commands and data are echoed to the screen as the upload progresses.
Note that uploads are affected by the serial port hardware and terminal program settings being used. It may be necessary to enable character pacing and use a slow communication rate (9600) baud if error messages (e.g. 'Bad Command') appear.
See the Driver Upload HOWTO for more details on loading driver patches.
