To start downloading from the drifters to the ship, all you need to do is cd /oasis/bin, and execute 'start_coop'. This starts downloading directly from all three drifters to the ship, without digipeating off Mt. Toro. To stop downloading, execute 'stop_coop'. Following are the executable scripts in /oasis/bin, and what they do: start_coop Starts downloads directly from all three drifters to bluefin on the ship, at 20 and 40 minutes past the hour. start_drift4 Starts downloads only from drift4 directly to bluefin on the ship, at 20 and 50 minutes past the hour. start_coop_toro Starts downloads from all three drifters to bluefin on the ship via Mt. Toro. start_drift4_toro Starts downloads only from drift4 to bluefin on the ship via Mt. Toro. stop_coop Stops the scheduling of all downloads. If no download is currently in progress, will stop all downloads. Otherwise, you'll also need to run kill_oasis.coop. kill_oasis.coop Stops current download in progress. Note that sometimes the TNC keeps calling for a few minutes, even after the software driving it has stopped. coasis Start pcomm on the serial port that talks to the radio TNC. getdrift4 Start one download from the corresponding drifter. getdrift5 Note that these commands update only the daily data files, getdrift6 not the concatenated files in /oasis/driftn/data.
